I don't get it!!

We had a sleepover Friday night with two of the girls' friends. They wanted to play with their new floam. I was a bit hesitant at first thinking of what kind of mess I would be cleaning up, where I would find floam at and the various ways the kids could manage to get it in their hair, nose, nails and probably even underwear. So far the playdate had gone really well, so I figured why not, we can try it and see how it goes. We put out the Oops Mats These are wonderful, look them up and get these!!http://www.oopsmat.com/
Here's a few pictures of their creations...

Everyone is playing really nicely- pretty clean really, this stuff is great, it doesn't crumble or dry out everywhere. Then it starts...the jokes!
Why'd the chicken cross the road...
Knock Knock...
Mom- Mom Your turn to tell a joke...
Ok, so I give it a try and it goes like this.....
"Why is 10 afraid of 7?"
"Why?"
"Because 7,8,9" *Me laughing ALONE*
"I don't get it!"
"Oh great, I'll explain it...7 ATE Yum Yum Yum Number 9- Get it??"
Molly- "Oh I get it- My Turn, My Turn... Why is 4 afraid of 1?"
"I dunno why?"
"Because, 1,2,3!!!" *ALL CHILDREN LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY!
Me- "I don't get it!"
Gotta love these jokes! This is one of those moments that makes the sleepover fun for me. It was fun watching them all roll around laughing, even if it doesn't make any sense.

Gotta love kid jokes - I wish I could still bust a gut laughing at those gems - at anything really.

Sleep overs are sooo fun!! Girls laughing together uncontrollably is one of my favorite sounds. I too was worried about floam, maybe now I will try it.

Is it sad that I am sitting here DESPERATLEY trying to make the
1,2, 3 punchline work?

This is such a cute story! Nice floam sun, btw!!

Hahaha! Silly girls. I love that they like their punchline better, and it doesn't make sense. hehe
Great crafts!

My kids used to play with floam, it is fun! (so much better than play dough in my opinion because it doesn't dry up) You have some budding artistes over there at the Red Door, how pretty, feathers and all! The joke that always used to get my youngest, Brian, was the "inch me and pinch me" one, he'd fall for it every time!

Ha! You are so brave to let all of the play with the foam. I am constantly reminding myself messes don't matter, memories do!

Thanks for the tip on the Oops Mat, I've been looking for something like that.

I'm just impressed that the MASSIVE pile you had on your table is now a usable play area again!!! You're so motivated ;)
Have you heard from C yet? I wrote her online, but haven't heard anything yet.
Took everything off the walls this morning...AHHHH moving in FOUR days!!!!

that is TOO cute.

Here is the joke (it must be something about the age) that my daughter told me this morning...

Why does the ghost have a bandaid?

Because he had a BOO BOO.

*giggle*

Sleepovers are soo much fun! I tried to explain the 7, 8, 9 joke to my kids once. It didn't go well.

I love the kid joke phase!! Gracie is always coming up with zingers!

You are a nicer mom than I am. Floam has not made it to our house yet, much to the dismay of my children.
