Crazy Hair Day

Tomorrow is Crazy Hair Day at Molly's school. She is not completely convinced that she wants to participate in this event, but regardless the girls decided to play "Hair Salon" in the toy room. I let them be. I let them get out ALL the hair brushes. I let them get out ALL the hair pretties. I even let them get out the squirt bottle. I was promised that they would not try and tie ANYTHING, hair or otherwise. Well, these Dora's were their victims. There were a few other victims, but they must have disappeared into Witness Protection somewhere. Overall they did a pretty good job and I realized something new in the process:
#1- They ARE capable of brushing their own hair much better than they claim.
#2- We have way too many Dora's around here, considering this isn't the half of them!
Wish me luck coming up with a crazy hairdo for tomorrow, I'll be sure to post some pics...if she decided to participate that is. Have a good one.

Umm, is one of the Dora's missing her legs?
Somehow I missed that episode.

Dora's not missing her leg's (very observant though)they are all posing on the footstool and she kept falling over, so the girls shoved her legs through the hole for the handle! That would be an interesting Dora episode though- naughty Swiper- don't swipe Dora's legs!!

I have a stat tracker working it's magic behind my blog and it tells me where people are coming from and what they are searching for when they find my blog.

It's a bit distrubing at times but very informative! :-)

Oh, fun! I remember doing stuff like that in school. I hope she decided to do it. I wanna see the silly pics.

You are a nice mom because

a)You let your girls get out all the hair pretties

b)You let your girls get out the spray bottle

c)You let your girls not only watch Dora, you also buy them Dora dolls.

I think I can handle a and b, but honestly, Dora makes my ears bleed. That girl's voice makes me insane. Gracie can watch her only on the TV downstairs...cuz I'm mean like that. :)

I hope she plays along, crazy hair day is AWESOME. I have thought of asking my bosses if we can bring this kind of enthusiasm to the work place....they haven't answered yet. ;)

Hi, I linked here through your comment on another site. Immediately I had to read because I too am a mom of four girls! Not as close in age as yours, wow, bless you! But it is fun, fun times! Your girls are precious and I would love to check back on your adventures.

Dora sorta looks like the flying nun on crack! Those big eyes have always freaked me out. I am so happy my 10yr old is out of the Dora stage!

You rightfully deserve to be on my blog because you are cool like that! Besides, I need some advice when raging pre-teen hormones are causing distress in my life!!!

Can't wait to see pics of the funny "do" if she decides to participate!!

Thank you so much for coming to my blog, no really, thank you!!!

I love crazy hair day better than the kids did. LOL

I used all the hairbands and put daughter's hair up in a bazillion little "squirts" all over her head.

I used more gel than the boy had hair and spiked it royally, then painted it blue.

Have fun!

I am very happy that the Dora's are on their way out of our house. Ms. Firecracker collected them for a while and asked everybody she knew for one. They happily obliged. She wasn't all that much of a fan of Dora. She just wanted to collect something like her older brother and sister. It was a well/ill-timed commercial. LOL
Hope crazy hair day is fun.

Crazy hair day sounds like great fun. As a kid I spent hours doing my doll's hair. You would think I would be more proficient at doing my own based on the hours I spent but no, not really.

Imagine how bad I would have been!

Crazy Hair Day........how fun!! I hope she does it! And be sure to share pictures of her "do" :)
(I so would have been all over a day like this when I was little! Heck, I'd be all over it now if work had a day like that!!)

I am visitng for the first time and found you from Kellan.

I can so relate. I have 6 daughters 11,9,7,5,3,and 20 months. I was thinking how your house sounds like mine hair bows, squirt bottles, and Dora dolls.

Your Christmas picture is beautiful and reminds me of ours I always make a big deal on the holidays.

I will be visiting again.

OMG- I have 6 daughters, too. I am off now, to check out that previous responder. loving your blog, Do you find yourself buying hair rubberbands every time you go to the store? And how many loads of pink laundry do you do each week? Aren't girls great?
