Brrrrr

This is Nana (my MIL) and a cousin who just turned 3. We ventured out into the frozen tundra to her birthday party yesterday. Everything was purple butterfly themed including the cake. Nana makes the cakes. I would love to be able to do this, but I don't have the patience, time and talent. Anyways, I just wanted to share this picture with everyone.

We are in the middle of a winter storm...still. It is so cold that they posted warnings on the news that the salt is not working so the road crews are trying to keep the roads clear and putting down sand to help with traction. Lolo had speech this morning, so we all bundled up and ventured out. We have a big Dodge Ram truck, I slapped that into 4x4 and away we go. So today in honor of all of you in Texas and Florida, Cali, Missouri and all those other nice warm cozy places remember the rest of us while you play outside, grill dinner out, jump in your warm car, or walk outside barefoot- because I am freezing! Brrrrrrrrr....

Annie: "Hmmm, I know! Lez go beach- it warm!"

Do you think she realizes it's cold at the beach too? It's funny that the beach is 5 minutes away and she thinks it is always warm there- wouldn't that be nice! Oh and a side note, the picture of the truck...that hasn't been sitting there for more than 5 minutes when I took the pic...5 minutes, oh man, I can't wait to clean that off later! (Why, why did we leave Hawaii?!!)

Hope everyone is warm.

I feel your pain although it isn't snowing here just 8 degree weather. I've always said if it has to be cold it can at least snow too so it's pretty! Good luck staying warm.

Oh man! It's cold here but not that cold and we don't have the snow!

I have two sisters. Amy at www.kelly4.blogspot.com and Lisa at www.chabwi.blogspot.com. I am the baby. Amy minds my little guy every day. That's why she always has so many pictures of him!

We have gotten less than an inch in terms of snow, and we are quickly dropping from today's high of 13 degrees. I smiled an evil smile laying in bed this morning listening to my husband clean off his truck to go to work. Hope everyone stays warm!

It's colder than sin here too, and it's still snowing. I am beyond sick of winter, let me tell you! Today while we were walking from our van into our destination Goosey & I pretended we were in Florida and that we were SO HOT. It was kind of fun, and really did make it slightly more liveable!

Happy Monday!

WOW - this is so funny that you would come over to my place and I was whining about not having snow and being at the lake for the weekend and you have ALL THAT SNOW!!! I think it is beautiful and it is so true - we often want what we don't have. I wouldn't want to be the one to have to clean off the truck or shovel the driveway - but I would love to be sitting inside and watching it fall and pile up so beautifully outside the window. Keep warm - take care. Kellan

Nothing warm about living in Maine right now either! The temperature barely made it to 10 degrees today!

Stumbled across your blog...

Its freezing cold and snowy here too. The snowplows do not even bother with residential streets here so no salt, sand, or plowing. Hope it warms up soon for both of us!

The cupcake pictures are soo funny and cute.

Now THAT's a snowstorm! Although we're getting another 10 inches here. It's getting a tad old.

That little girl is so cute!

Oh . . .you LEFT Hawaii??? Ugh. Great pics. I love snow, but sometimes I am more than ready for the cold to go. Why can't it be warm and snowy? I used to ask that when I was a little, little kid. Clearly I didn't understand the tumultuous relationship between heat and ice . . .

Whay did you leave Hawaii? ;-)

We are in the midst of a cold snap here too, so I understand how you feel.

Just think of it this way if we didnt have cold weahter we wouldn't appreciate the warm weather. Are you convinced yet? Ok so I think I am also trying to convince my self. It makes it more bearable that way ;-)

Stay warm

Those winter pics look like my backyard right about now.
I think a trip to the beach is a brilliant idea!

I had to thaw out my washing machine today to do laundry. It's only been 11 degrees with tons of snow. I think it got up into the 20s today so I grabbed my hairdryer and got it going again. Gotta love Michigan.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I think Kellan IS every where. :)

Oh, how I feel your pain. We got 3 more inches of snow last night and it hasn't been above 10 degrees in forever. Tonight it was actually 14 out, it felt warm. That's just wrong.
