Last But Not Least

These lists have been really fun this week. It made me turn on the brain, think a bit and remember some of the goofy things in my life. It was definitely fun to read what everyone commented with and realize that my family is not the only one full of FUNNIES! So Last But Certainly Not Least...

Funny Things We Do For Our Children...

Bike/Beer races- This is my Hubby! Yup, I'm Proud. This is at our neighborhood party this past summer. The rules were that all the guys had to ride a child's trike from one line to the other and back, carrying their beer and it had to be gone before they crossed the finish. Oh Yeah- My Hubby WON!! The women raced next but bummer I was pregnant and not getting near a trike. Shucks, I had to be the cheering section and photographer! To make it even more interesting, just before this race we had a water balloon fight. As the guys were racing, some leftover water balloons were launched onto the race course, don't spill that beer!! All for the kids right! Uh huh.

Dress up- Hubby and I were playing Pretty Pretty Princess one Saturday morning with Molly and Lolo- still in pj's. He's doing really well, has the crown on, the necklace, earrings, I think all he needed was a ring to win. We were in between duty stations at the time and renting a house. We look out the window and there is a man taking pictures of the house, kinda creepy! My Hubby goes to the slider door to confront him...dressed as a Princess! Yeah, he was so alarmed by this man that he forgot what he was dressed as. Turns out it was the landlord's realtor's photographer, wonder what he thought when he saw My Hubby!

Makeup- I have sat nicely and had my makeup done for me, turns out someone always stops over unannounced and I am looking like a rosy cheeked clown.

Hair Salon- Look at what the girls and their Aunties did!!

This was a cute post!
It's so much fun to take time out to think of the the fun you've had. I can't wait until my guy is bigger (i'm not wishing time away though) because I'm sure they'll be tons of crazy and fun things we end up doing for him! Great memories to have:)

ok, I just laughed the kind of laugh that you have to grab a tissue...that is HILARIOUS.

Your neighborhood party sounds right up our alley...seriously, how far are you from me and are there homes for sale by you?

Love love the hairdo pic, and would LOVE to see the pic of MR Princess confronting the man taking pictures of the house. THAT IS TOO FUNNY.

Your lists have been fun, but they have made me forget anything really funny or cute my kids do. It was a fun week to read your blog though, so thank you.

Ok, I just laughed the kind of laugh that requires a little tissue help.

Hilarious. Um, are there homes in your neighborhood for sale? This neighborhood party is right up our alley. GOOD TIMES, for the kids, of course.

Love the hairdo picture and would LOVE to see MR. Princess confronting the man outside picture! LMAO.

Your blog has been a fun read this week (usually is anyway) Thanks.

Too funny Girlymom! Loved the story about your husband the "princess",teehee! The picture of the girls and their hair looks like something out of Dr. Seuss, what a crack up! My niece, Erin, tried to do something similar with her hair last summer, couldn't get it to stay "up" the way she wanted it to, so decided to use vaseline, she thought it would "hold" it better than hairspray and mousse. Took my SIL hours and numerous shampoos (had to use Gorilla soap that mechanics use to get the grease off their hands!) Have a great weekend!

The hair is hysterical, and can we move onto your street? Our neighbors are nice, but we don't have cool block parties or anything.

Funny! I did my girls hair like that for Crazy hair day at school this year! I don't know which post it is, you will have to go search,(it's in October somewheres...) but there is pictures of them! Love it!

My neighborhood- Love it!! I live in a small downtown with all old historic houses, trust me I am the house that needs the paint, new foundation, cracks in the walls...the list continues. I always wanted to live somewhere with neighborhood parties, so I started one this past summer. I made up flyers and turns out I wasn't the only one who thought this was a good idea, people showed up and we had a blast! Yes there is a house for sale, the big ornate one that is way more expensive than mine, but gorgeous. If you can stand Michigan winters, it's a great place to live.

The "Hair" -To do the hair, you take a condiment bottle or some sort and put it on top of your head (make sure the top is shut tight) then put your head upside down, collect all your hair to the end of the bottle- lowest point- then take a hair rubberband and go around the end of your hair and bottle, flip head back up again and Presto- You now have crazy hair. First time I did this was with a few drinks, it's much funnier that way!

Oh my gosh! I totally want to do trike races!! (although I would have to drink a bottle of gingerale) :) that looks like so much fun. My children tell my husband and I to do all the "old school" dances to make them laugh. (i.e. the sprinkler, running man, charleston, the hammer shuffle, moonwalk) It's fun.

Hey! Compiling my list wasn't that bad. I was just worried about coming up with creative things. I had fun!

I love this post! You guys are fun parents. Your kids are lucky! I wish you would have posted pictures of the "dress up"!

I hope to have a daughter someday to rat my hair with! :)

I LOVE the pic of your husband! That is so stinkin funny!! I would LOVE a neighborhood party! Maybe I'll be proactive like you & just organize one! How fun!! I'm pretty sure ours wouldn't be that fun tho!!

Oh, & we've had almost the same Pretty Pretty Princess moment! How funny, Scott is always the stupid winner at that game.

I always let the kids play hair salon! One day I had to run to the little local store here for a last minute thing I needed for dinner & had TOTALLY forgot that they did my hair until I ran into my cousin at the store & she wondered what the crap I was smokin'!! (she only has boys, so she didn't understand hair salon)
It's a good thing I have no problem making a fool of myself!!

I love the pics of the girls with their Aunties! I used to be the fun Auntie too!

My husband is in Detroit this week. Is that anywhere near you? I know nothing about Michigan, I just know that's where he is this week!

Aw Girly, you are such a great pair of parents! I know they don't so much now, but later in their lives, your kids are going to realize how EXTREMELY lucky they are to have you two!
