Fire under my @$$

I've been motivated. I don't know if it is spring, the joy of getting outside. I don't know if it is the pictures of our Florida vacation. I don't know if it is the time alone to walk the puppy. I don't know why, but for some reason I am sick of hearing my own excuses and finally willing to do something about it. Bailey has been at our house for 2 weeks. For 2 weeks now I have tried to sneak out at night and take her for a walk. It doesn't always work out, life gets in the way, but I'm trying. I always liked walking, but felt strange walking alone, so I would take a child or two along. Now that I am working on training the puppy, the children have stayed home and I am getting some much needed alone time. Tonight is night 2 that I have stepped up the walk into a run. A RUN!! This is huge for me. I haven't ran in a long LONG time. I was heaving, chugging, finding my groove, but once I found it I was there. It actually helped running with the dog, she pulled me when I was needing a tug and I tugged her at the end when she was ready to stop and I needed to push on. We walked a bit further tonight, then ran a bit further tonight. I feel very proud at this moment and wanted to share. I'll report back on how sore I am tomorrow! Off to the showers. Good night!

Great job! Getting out alone and walking/running will work the mind and body! I always feel better once I get out there!

Good job! I am so not a runner. I love to walk though. It's nice to have a puppy to walk/run with.

My puppies are poodle/beagle mixes. They are adorable. They look more like the poodle daddy than the beagle, but they have the beagle ears.

That's great that you can get some me time and get some running in. The last time I ran was years and years ago LOL.

WTG I wish I had a Dog to run with, maybe I would run outside more instead of on the treadmill. Have a great weekend.

Wow! Great job! Starting up running again is always so hard. But if you can hang with it for the first few weeks, you are home free!
Go girl!

A need a good run. It is hard to get in with three (or four in your case) kids.

I need some of your motivation! Way to go!!!

Man, I have a lot of reading to do to catch up!! I was running for a while, but now it is just WAY too hot outside to be running (that is at least the excuse I am currently using).
