Where Have I Been You Ask?

~I am here~ I am tired, I am sore, but I am here!~
~I have been painting~

***************In Progress***************

This is the pillow for the bedding that is going in this room. I have more polka dots to do~ I have been told by a few little girls that the room 'NEEDS' more!

I started off by taking out all the drywall screws every 2 feet, patching holes and cracks, sanding that all down...what a mess! My mom came over and helped me clean that all up. Then she repainted the woodwork white. I ran kids in all directions, pick up~ drop off, get more paint. Then she went and ran her errands, picked up from preschool and I painted the ceiling... gotta love naptime! We took a "break" for dinner and then I plugged in a movie for our Friday Night Movie Night. As much as I wanted to sit down and veg, put my feet up and watch the movie~ I got up and started taping and painting the walls blue. My parents surprised me and showed up in paint clothes to help out...I guess all my hints and invites to paint were pretty obvious! I trimmed, my dad rolled, my mom got one heck of a good tush workout by running up and down the steps to check on children, pacify baby, wipe toddlers tush... At the end of the night, we all crashed on the couch and "watched" Ice Age.

**************************************

So why haven't I been on the computer blogging? My Hubby was in Florida for his best Navy friends retirement. He was asked to do the opening and closing prayers. So he left Thursday night and came back on Saturday afternoon. He was quite surprised with the progress that we made while he was gone and I guess motivated to get more projects done. Again I think my hinting was pretty obvious. So we spent yesterday doing more work. He taped off, trimmed the back entryway/toyroom. This is the room that had the roof leak, so it was already a mess with the stuff thrown to one side. While he did this, I scraped the backsteps of the LAYERS of paint and junk and then cleaned them up and got a good first coat of fresh paint on them. While that dried I rolled what Hubby was trimming, we traded off entertaining the children. Molly got sick Friday, no temp, but she was throwing up and not eating a thing. She is feeling better today and going to eat me out of the house! That a great thing though~ I have a hard time seeing a child not hungry! So today is a second coat of paint, on the toyroom walls, steps and hopefully polka dots. If I can get the polka dots done then we can start moving things back into that room. *sigh* So I am off the computer for a bit longer and back to the paint brush. As tired as I am, I am also very energized and excited to finally be getting some of these projects done.
It feels great!
Blogger isn't letting me add more pictures, so more to follow...

Your post on my computer didn't show the pictures you had added, so I'm really looking forward to the finished pictures. I bet they are adorable. I love polka dots.

I don't know why it isn't showing the pictures. When I originally posted this and viewed it, the pictures were there, so I don't know what happened. Maybe blogger is having issues.

If anyone knows whats up or how to fix this...PLEASE let me know...

Thanks!

Hi there!

I'm so happy for you that you are getting all these projects done, and rather envious, too! You're making me feel a tad bit guilty for not tackling some of our projects, Girlymom! This may just be good for me! :o)

The polka dots sound adorable! Hopefully your pictures will come through at some point. I've been having some trouble with Blogher lately, too. I wonder what's up? Anyway,..talk to you later, good luck with your projects!

I can't see any pictures, but it sounds like you've gotten a lot done! I don't know how you do it all, girl, but good job. It'll soon be all over, and you can sit back and enjoy it.

Not to sound like a mom or anything, but be sure to get plenty of fresh air with all those paint fumes!
