Side Projects...

This is the back door/pantry area that leads into the toyroom. Yesterday I got a second coat of paint rolled on the walls. Later that night, Hubby was trimming it out again and stepped back looking at it...it was 2 different colors. We ran out of paint and had it matched at Home Depot...because they were open on a Sunday night. Needless to say, they don't match and it looks bad...starting over today *sigh* So another run to the paint store, it's starting to feel like home there! I did get a third coat of paint on the back steps, so I will have to post an updated picture of them because this picture is the first paint that in the dim light of the steps...it looks pink! So another day, more projects, I miss my blogging time, I miss catching up on all my new friends, but I will get this done and I will be back!!

That is so frusterating! Once we touched up all the spots on my bathrooms wall, and now when I take a bath, I can see every spot because the color doesn't match.

Holy Cow, you have been BUSY! It seems like every project we do ends up like that. 400 trips to Home Depot!
Good Luck! I'm sure it's going to look great when you're done. In the pictures you can't see the two different colors! Can't wait to see all your pictures when you're done!!

♥ How frustrating that they were two different colors! I'd be so tired of painting! So not my favorite thing to do! :)

I would have been quite upset about the mismatched paint! It's looking good though!

Boy - you are busy! I do not like to paint - at all! I'd have been very unhappy about the paint not matching. It all looks great! Have a good evening and don't be working too hard. Kellan

How frustrating ! It is looking good, I know it will look great when you are done. I love the color. I had similar color in my old house.

Looking good, looking very good!
I LOVE the blue polka dot room! I may steal the idea if that's ok!

Oh, man...I don't know how you accomplish so much with four girls, but it looks incredible! Good job. Your home looks like a dream home!

That's a bummer on the paint. I had the same thing happen a few years ago...I'd gone in for a 'faded denim' blue, and they inadvertently stuck the wrong label to another customer's can, which was a totally different blue (electric blue!). Had to start over again, too.

Do I tell you that everyone at my Home Depot and Lowes know me and my son very well?? We can't do a project without at least 15 trips. You'd think that we would know better by this point, but nope! The color is great though.. nice and sunny.

Have you been watching TLC again? Every time Linds spends time watching TLC, the home projects begin.

Hi, Girlymom!

You're doing a great job! I can't tell by looking at the photos that the paint doesn't match, but I'm sure you can tell in person. That's such a shame after all your hard work, ugh! It looks so bright and cheery, I do like the colors you've picked out. I really love the polka dots you painted for the girls, too cute! Well, hope you finish soon, you must be exhausted! I miss your comments, too! :O)

Home Depot is notorious for doing that!!! I love HD but sometimes things just don't mix right. I hope they gave you a refund or credit!!!
