Weekend Wedding

Well, it's official...
All the Good Guys Are Taken!
This is the last brother to get married (on my Hubby's side)
I now have 2 Sisters and 10 Sister in Laws!!
It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. It was quite warm and at the beginning of the ceremony I took the kids over to a tree to sit in the shade. I forgot to grab my camera and therefore I don't have any pictures of the ceremony. It was beautiful though. Set in a park, tall green lush trees all around with a small steady creek flowing behind. As we were being seated, as the bride was walking down the aisle, it snowed... little cotton fuzz fell from the tree gently blowing, making it look like a beautiful snowfall. After the I Do's, we all headed back up the hill to the pavilion. We all sat around picnic tables, the toasts were said, the food gobbled, the beer drank, the first dance, the Mom/Son Irish song danced to...then my girls took over the dance floor! They were twirling, jumping, swinging and giggling. Annie was having so much fun, that she never once complained of her feet hurting her, it wasn't until I put her in the car and took her shoes off that I saw the blisters all the way around her ankles! I gave her some crocs and she thanked me all the way home, telling me that her crocs no hurt my feet! It was a wonderfully beautiful day.
We Love You!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Fire under my @$$

I've been motivated. I don't know if it is spring, the joy of getting outside. I don't know if it is the pictures of our Florida vacation. I don't know if it is the time alone to walk the puppy. I don't know why, but for some reason I am sick of hearing my own excuses and finally willing to do something about it. Bailey has been at our house for 2 weeks. For 2 weeks now I have tried to sneak out at night and take her for a walk. It doesn't always work out, life gets in the way, but I'm trying. I always liked walking, but felt strange walking alone, so I would take a child or two along. Now that I am working on training the puppy, the children have stayed home and I am getting some much needed alone time. Tonight is night 2 that I have stepped up the walk into a run. A RUN!! This is huge for me. I haven't ran in a long LONG time. I was heaving, chugging, finding my groove, but once I found it I was there. It actually helped running with the dog, she pulled me when I was needing a tug and I tugged her at the end when she was ready to stop and I needed to push on. We walked a bit further tonight, then ran a bit further tonight. I feel very proud at this moment and wanted to share. I'll report back on how sore I am tomorrow! Off to the showers. Good night!

Lolo Gets Carried Away

Standing at the patio door~ "Mom, Mom, Mom... there was something grey in your garden!"

Making breakfast in the kitchen~ "Oh yeah, what did it look like?"

"I don't know, it was grey."

"Was it a squirrel?"

"I dunno, maybe a squirrel, maybe it was a bunny!!"

Walking over to patio door~ "Where was it at?"

"Well... you can't see it now."

"Bummer, let me know next time you see it and we'll figure out what it was." ~walking back to kitchen.

"Sorry Mom, guess I got carried away."

"What do you mean you got carried away?"

"Ya know, like really Really excited!~~~ Carried Away!" ~shrugs at me with the look of DUH MOM and walks away.

What happens when a 5 year old learns the meaning of a new phrase? She looks for a reason to use it! Was there ever really a mysterious grey thing in the garden? Who knows! Is she really proud of the fact that she used 'carried away' in a sentence...Thrilled!
